Mongolia and Hungary have a long-standing relationship rooted in history, culture, and traditional ties. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1950, our two countries have steadily strengthened trust and friendship through decades of cooperation. Hungary is an important partner of Mongolia in Europe, and expanding bilateral relations in social and economic sectors, as well as strengthening effective and fruitful cooperation, is one of the priorities of Mongolia’s foreign policy.

Hungarian scholars and researchers have made a significant contribution to the study of Mongolian language, history and culture. Hungary has a proud history as one of the epicenters of Mongolian studies in Europe. Today, it continues to grow, and many scholars and researchers devoted their lives and careers to Mongolian studies.

Education is one of the most dynamic areas of cooperation between our two countries. With the generous support provided by the Government of Hungary, hundreds of young Mongolians have pursued higher education at internationally recognized Hungarian universities and many of these graduates are contributing to the development and progress of their homeland.

I would also like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to the people and Government of Hungary for their valuable contribution to Mongolia’s development and prosperity, and for their support and assistance in strengthening the traditionally friendly relations and cooperation between our two countries.

The Embassy of Mongolia in Hungary works to deepen Mongolian-Hungarian friendship and relation, expand economic, trade, and investment cooperation, protect the rights and interests of Mongolian citizens working and living abroad, and provide efficient consular services. In addition, the Embassy works consistently provide accurate and up-to-date information about Mongolia and to promote the country’s history, culture, traditions.
