E-Visa

E-visa is available for Mongolia. For further information, please visit evisa.mn.

If you intend to stay in Mongolia for a period of up to 30 days, you can apply for the following categories of visa:

  • K2 — Visa for tourists
  • K4 — Visa for participants in sports, cultural and arts events, and for creating films and contents
  • K6 — Visa for transit (up to 10 days)

Citizens of visa-exempt countries can extend their stay by up to 30 days once if they arrive in Mongolia without a visa and stay for more than 30 days. You can submit your request to the Immigration Office in person or online at immigration.gov.mn.

The Embassy is closed on Mongolian public holidays.

  • February 18–20, 2026 — Lunar New Year (Tsagaan Sar)
  • March 8, 2026 — International Women's Day
  • May 31, 2026 — Buddha's Great Day of Enlightenment (Great Deeds Day / Buddha Day)
  • June 1, 2026 — Children's Day
  • July 10–17, 2026— National Naadam Festival and Anniversary of the People's Revolution
  • November 10, 2026 — Genghis Khan Day
  • November 26, 2026 — Proclamation of the Republic Day
  • December 29, 2026 — National Independence and Freedom Restoration Day
